The Swiss franc currency is struggling to find a clear direction against the US dollar, ahead of the very important FOMC policy meeting later today. The USDCHF pair is trapped in a broadening wedge pattern between the 0.8925 and 0.9060 levels at the moment. As it is often the case, when a breakout from broadening wedges happens, then a powerful directional move will take place.
The USDCHF pair is only bullish while trading above the round figure mark 0.9000 critical level, key resistance is found at the 0.9060 and 0.9200 levels. If this pair able to break its descending trendline, then we will see a clear reversal .
USD/CHF 's 4 hourly MACD has diverged in favor of the bulls. MACD histograms has produced higher lows , contradicting lower lows on the price chart. That bullish divergence indicates a potential for an upside breakout.
The USDCHF pair is only bearish while trading below the 0.9020 level, key support is found at the 0.8925 and 0.8850 levels.
