m – 平均值的高阶， n – 平均值的低阶。
这个指标的典型应用方法是相对于零水平向振荡器线方向开立交易。CHO零水平以上上升的时候，这意味着上升的价格流就开始组成。在这个请款下应该开立购买交易。如果指标的数值零下下降，那么今后价格一般继续下降。作为结果，在交易中必须采取熊态度。
同技术分析的振荡器最大部分一样Chaikin振荡器组成相对于价格图表的牛和熊收敛和发散。并且使用这个性质的时候应该考虑：在多数情况下Chaikin指标的发散和收敛包括两个或者三个连续的动态运动。这个规程帮淘汰很多被市场适当地不修定的单个信号。

在应用这个方法情况下必须注意指标线和移动平均线的从上向下交叉（如果有价格下跌的可能性）；也必须注意从上向下的交叉如果价格可以增加起来。在这个情况下这是领先指标。但是如果在振荡器收敛/发散 预先没组成了，这个信号可能是错误的。
