在上週疲弱的美國通膨數據公布後，交易員下調了對聯準會（Federal Reserve）短期內升息的預期，這被視為對美元不利的因素。與此同時，市場對美國財政部宣佈調高部分涉及長期債務證券回購操作規模的初步反應，在與能源價格上漲所帶來的通膨風險之下很快消退。
事實上，在美國總統 Donald Trump 宣布啟動他所稱對伊朗「最具毀滅性」的經濟行動之後，油價於週四創下三週新高。
他同時威脅，將對任何協助伊朗規避制裁或與德黑蘭進行生意往來的國家施加嚴厲制裁。這形成了一項地緣政治風險溢價，可能抑制交易員對美元建立激進看空部位的意願。

98.50 水準提供初步支撐，若跌破該水準，指數可能加速走低，朝心理關卡 98.00 靠攏。阻力則見於 98.90 與 99.00，一旦突破位於其上的 200 日 SMA，將為多頭進一步延伸反彈行情創造機會。
